Malcolm Customs & Cargo Ltd was started in 1985 and has grown each year to become one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned Customs brokerages.

Over the years we have amassed a tremendous resource base of people that allows us to shine in a very competitive industry.

As a company we have earned a reputation for uncompromising standards and service. We are seen as being a niche or boutique operator and are respected by our peers and clients accordingly. Because we do not have to support a large corporate overhead we are able to offer our services at very competitive rates.

We are a locally owned company and have no intention in being swallowed up by a multi national conglomerate at any stage – we are committed to the Global market.

Over the years we concentrated on building relationships with quality clients, steadily evolving and adding new services to met the demands of those clients. A good example is Malcolm Distribution Ltd, which was established to provide the option of a Premium cartage service from the airport and wharf to the clients door - previously the service offered by 'outside' operators was not client driven.

Malcolm Total Logistics is another logical step - it places the expertise of Malcolm Customs & Cargo Ltd, Malcolm Distribution Ltd and Dangerous Goods Management Ltd under a single umbrella.

As a company we have always know that our best asset is our people. To that end we have concentrated in taking intelligent young people and training them in our methods and philosophies.

The Customs & Forwarding industries are extremely competitive, both internationally and locally - in Auckland it is estimated that 200 companies vie for contention in a market that is smaller than Brisbane, and one tenth the size of a major city like London or Los Angeles.

Today, we are still focussed on providing the same high level of service and continue to offer 'boutique' rather than 'department store' solutions.
